Upon arising from my slumber in the sleepy town of Santa Barbara California, I turned over to look at my dear friend. She was reading away on her cell phone, always an early riser, I love that about her.
After I welcomed the day slowly and set my intention, I spoke up to ask her what she wanted to do with her day. Honestly, I don’t know why I even asked her. We’ve been friends for going on 8 years now. I knew what she wanted to do. But she smiled kindly and responded, “let’s fly by the seat of our pants!”
When I first met this beautiful soul, I had no clue what she meant by that. But, over time I began to understand. And each day, I understand more deeply in a new way. It’s brought a refreshing sense of newness to my everyday routine. And I would recommend adding a bit of it to your life.
So, when’s the next day you can fly by the seat of your pants? Do you need to plan one? Because I know I do…
FLY BY THE SEAT OF YOUR PANTS
Do what you love.
Love what you do.
Make one plan at a time.
Don’t do what you don’t want to do.
Be present – again – you have nothing else planned.
Love every minute.
Cherish your ability to choose.
Let go of the past.
Don’t worry about the future.
Live in this moment ~ This moment is your life.
